Do I need any prior biology knowledge?+
No prior biology is required. Week 1 covers all the biological concepts you need from scratch — DNA, RNA, and proteins explained through a data science lens.
What Python experience do I need?+
Basic Python familiarity helps but is not required. We cover Python fundamentals in Week 1 with a life-science focus. If you can write a for loop, you’re ready.
Can teachers use this with their class?+
Absolutely. Our School plan includes GIFT-format Moodle quiz files, a full LMS setup guide, and up to 30 student seats. Contact us at info@k12stemlabs.com for a custom quote for larger classes.
How long does each week take?+
Typically 4–8 hours per week depending on pace. Each module includes a video lesson (~15 min), a PDF guide (reading), a Jupyter notebook (coding), and a quiz. You can move faster or slower — it’s fully self-paced.
Do I get a certificate?+
Yes! Student and School plan members receive a Certificate of Completion in AI × Biotechnology upon finishing all 22 weeks and submitting their capstone project.
